Lithuania declared a state of emergency last week and sought parliamentary authorization for military support to bolster police and border guards. This move followed months of repeated disruptions to its air traffic caused by smuggler balloons launched from Belarus.
"I'm really looking forward into expanding the sanctions regime on Belarus if those hybrid activities continue against us," Budrys said ahead of a meeting of EU foreign affairs ministers in Brussels.
